ABOUT US

SAVE OUR PARKS: VOTE NO on 22  was co-founded by local lawyers and activists Tim Mara and Don Mooney. As details of the initiative became publicized, Mara and Mooney were quickly joined by city voters from all walks of life who wanted to know, "How can we stop this from happening?"

Operating on a nonexistent budget and volunteering our time and talents, we are your neighbors, local business owners, realtors, attorneys, professors, stay-at-home parents, teachers, police officers, artists, nurses, and the list goes on and on. Among our ranks, we count long-time government watchdogs, as well as newcomers to political engagement.

Each of us is committed to the effort to defeat Issue 22 for our own reasons, including tax fatigue, love of the environment, desire for good governance ...

Each of us has found flaws so profoud in Issue 22 that we have put aside other projects and priorities to find time between now and election day to educate our friends and neighbors (and their friends and neighbors!) about Issue 22.

We're confident that, once voters examine the details of the initiative, they will realize there's only one responsible response: VOTE NO on 22.
